What this is all about....

I sit in a room with a writer or a director and we analyze scripts. Scripts they've written, and scripts other writers have written that they are trying to make their own in order to create something they feel passionate about. We talk characters, character motivations, making plot blend in instead of standing out, adjusting dialogue so it feels natural. Mostly we discuss story. What makes a good story great and how to make what's going on, on the page, leap off of it so the reader can see the movie in their imagination. We talk about connecting to an audience, connecting to the characters that populate the pages, connecting to the underlying subtext that exists in each and every scene. There's a lot of talking......and then lots of rewriting. Always. For everyone, even the most successful and experienced. Especially those ones. 

I am constantly meeting people who have projects they want my professional feedback on so I thought creating a site like this might make sense for both of us. I get to share my experience and you, the writer or director, have access to a reasonable, knowledgable, Hollywood-savvy creative producer to bounce your ideas off of. And you get specific and detailed feedback on your work with someone who knows both the studio and indie worlds, who appreciates all genres of films and knows how to make movies. 

The film business is in an interesting state at the moment and if you are going to venture out into the world of agents, buyers, financiers, and producers you want to be as well prepared as possible with the best script you are capable of creating complete with a plan intact for how to actually get it to the screen. 

I am here to listen, to help, to advise, to cheerlead, to support....it's what I do everyday of my life and I'd like to do it for you too.
